only connect the prose and the passion, and both will be exalted, and human love will be seen at it’s height – E. M. Forester

    1. Thank you! It was a treasure of a sunset, another favorite from a couple years back. I was alone but still remember how amazing and sweeping it felt. Yes, thrilled is a great word. I stayed until the last hint of color was gone and used a flashlight to get back home. Worth it!

      1. i was wondering how you got back. it is really dark under the trees after the sun is down that long. the dogs seem to be able to see in the dark so I imagine they were leading the way even without light.

I have that thrilled feeling after the awesome ones. it usually happens fast when the colors start to go crazy. you never know for sure it will happen till it does. and then some go wild after they start. the colors linger a long time too which keeps you watching longer. it is way after dark before the good ones fade completely. heading back with that wow feeling and a little overwhelmed.

my picture finger is usually cramping by the end after so many snaps. I have gotten pretty good at holding still for each snap as I spin around getting as many as I can when it is peaking. it can be an exhausting hour to get the whole show. total satisfaction though.

      2. I’m pretty familiar with the path but I’m awfully happy to have a flashlight and the dogs close by!

It does. You don’t want to miss a single streak of color! What will be next?!

It’s a perfect way to end a day of any kind. When you begin to see that it might be The One to remember it’s so exciting. An unexpected gift 😊
