There is a feathered robin, red
Who followed me twice home
He settled on my shoulder once
Never more to roam
He sang to me
Of all that he had ever seen
Playful tunes, hey and ho
Of all the where’s that he had been
Robin red breast whispered in my ear
Of lovely Texas skies, always and ever blue
I missed him so while he was away
I simply did, ‘tis true as ever true…
