Within every scale,

a seed.

Within every seed,

a story.

Of, where colors come from

and the weaver who knits them

into a solitary hour.

Why tails love to swish

in the arc of a smile

and some noses

do far more

than just sniff,

from the time they’re a child.

How the earth first trembled

at the triumph of song.

When a star reaches its zenith,

and a journey

that’s been so long.

Who shed a tear yesterday,

and will laugh

with hope on the morrow.

What the evergreen sees

and the elephant knows…

  1. Magic and wonder everywhere… Thank you for the reminder to look with more than my eyes.😍✨💫

I’m curious about your elephant… I’ve never seen a figurine with it’s trunk down. I’ve heard that they’re usually depicted with their trunks up for “good luck”🤷🏼‍♀️ I don’t remember where I heard it, possibly my mother…🙄 so it might be a bunch of hooey🙃😉🤷🏼‍♀️

    1. That’s cool about elephants. I didn’t know that about trunks up. This one was found in a second hand shop. It used to be wooden only but someone had a bit of fun “coloring” it in and it does look as charming this way as the other. 😄

Hope you have some very good luck yourself! 🐘(maybe emojis should make a trunk up elephant 🤷‍♀️) 🥰thank you! 💓✨

  2. A lovely poem indeed – l used to have elephants with their trunks down, l was told many years ago that when the trunk is down, the elephant is grounding even in a carved figure like above. Downward trunks are about energy and luck and of wisdom and knowledge too.

Someone did indeed take a lot of pride to colour this beast in and so beautifully too.
